Carl Holst

Dealer Principal

Carl was born in Victoria, British Columbia where he started his career in the Automotive Industry in 2000. He relocated to Alberta in 2003 where he worked the majority of his career in Automotive Management at franchise dealerships.

As a graduate of the National Automotive Dealers Association University in Washington DC (General Dealership Management) in 2015, Carl has a vast knowledge and understanding of the Automotive Industry where he was able to build a large network of dealerships across North America.

His passion for helping clients led him to founding Driven Motors in 2018. Since then, Driven Motors has grown to be the #1 Automotive Brokerage in Western Canada, helping thousands of their clients successfully sell their vehicles for more money. 

Denny

Denny Coulombe

GM/Managing Partner - Medicine Hat

Denny joined the Driven team in February of 2024 after 23 years of working in franchise automotive dealerships.  He has extensive management experience; including fixed operations management, sales and F&I management, as well as 6 years years of GM experience leading up to his transition to Driven Motors.

When not buying, selling, wholesaling or exporting vehicles, Denny can likely be found hiking, biking, e-mountain biking, dirt biking, cross-country enduro riding, letting the wind be his therapy on his Harley, or tinkering on any of these machines.  Being in the Crowsnest Pass with friends and family is a favourite summer getaway, while winter is spent keeping warm and cheering on the Calgary Flames.

Denny prides himself on operating in an up-front, transparent, and no-pressure environment.

Shaun Vaudry

General Manager - Calgary

Shaun was born and raised in central Alberta, living in Red Deer when he started vehicle sales in 2009. A promotion opportunity was offered in 2012 to move to Medicine Hat. Since then Shaun has been a General Sales Manager at franchise Domestic and import stores along with specialty second chance credit leading to his transition to Driven Motors. His understanding of clients' needs as well as his ability and knowledge allows him to have seamless easy transactions with any client.

When not buying or selling vehicles, you'll find Shaun with his wife and daughter, spending as much time in the mountains as possible and enjoying a round of golf. Shaun enjoys getting to know each client and providing a fully transparent, simple transaction.

Shane Unrau

Dealer Acquisitions District Manager - Calgary 

Shane was born in Victoria, British Columbia and moved to Calgary in 2016 where he started his career in the Automotive Industry. His career quickly accelerated from Sales to Sales Management within only a few short years. Throughout his career in retail, he was able to work with different manufacturers on both the New and Pre-Owned Sales side of the business. He truly understands the vehicle market and always strives to over-deliver to his clients.

Shane started with Driven Motors as their first District Manager in 2019. He has been a cornerstone to the Calgary Market and their Dealerships continuously providing them with strong vehicle values.

Ian Knell

Sales & Acquisitions Manager - Medicine Hat

Ian comes to us locally from right here in Medicine Hat.  With 12 years of experience in the automotive business; he has extensive experience in vehicle wholesaling, sales management, and financial services. He has a large family of 5 kids and is proud to call Medicine Hat his home. He enjoys watching hockey, spending time camping and computer gaming. He is professional and works hard to help you get your new vehicle or get you top dollar for your units. Ian is a family man who treats every customer like his own family.

Ashley Benoit

Appointment Coordinator

Ashley is a born and raised Calgarian. She has done numerous customer service-facing roles and truly loves building interpersonal relationships and connecting with people. She started her career in the Automotive Industry working at Franchise Dealerships as a Business Development Agent, prospecting new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential clients. Although still fairly new to the industry she quickly developed a passion and love for helping people find the vehicle that best suits their needs. When Ashley is not coordinating appointments she is reading a good book, making embroidery art or at the gym, going on hikes and spending time with family and friends.
